ABOUT ME
Hi, I am Navya, a junior Interior Design student here at SCAD Atlanta. Growing up in India, I was surrounded by a number of cultures and colors and architectural styles, which influenced the way I perceive space. And as a child, I would always be fascinated by an empty room, which would change over time into a very warm and lively place. That process always stayed with me.
With time, I realized that interior design is not just about furniture or materials. It's about creating places that hold emotion, comfort, and identity. It's the softness of a fabric, the way light moves throughout the day, or that one small detail that makes someone feel at home. That's what drew me toward interior design: the idea that a space can truly change how someone feels.
As a designer, I want to create thoughtful, human, and memorable environments. I love taking a blank space and turning it into a meaningful environment-one that will be lived in, worked in, or explored. Most of all, however, I want my work to relate to people on a personal level and to make their everyday experiences just a little more beautiful.
